This rooftop terrace pergola went up post by post before a single reed lattice was fitted — solid timber posts craned into place over the wall line, then set and cased at the base so the whole frame reads as one structure rather than a stack of parts. The reed roofing goes on last, once the frame is square and true, giving the terrace shade without closing off the mountain and skyline view around it. It's the same build carried across both the ground-floor and rooftop terraces of the villa, so the two spaces read as one design rather than two separate add-ons.
